About The Argyll Hotel

This traditional small Scottish seaside hotel was taken over by Ian and Nick in 2013 who fell in love with the beachside location and the history of the building. It is a family run business where along with our team of locals and our two Dalmatians, Logan and Winter, we aim to make the hotel a great destination for people to relax and wind down and a welcome place for dogs, cyclists and motorbikes.

The hotel is an ongoing project for us in Kintyre, Argyll and we have been running a programme of refurbishment and developing an ambient feel of comfort and relaxed style. All the bedrooms have been upgraded, with new bathrooms (walk-in showers) and beds added.

Downstairs in the large conservatory restaurant we have introduced a comfortable lounge style area with red leather sofas and chairs to take advantage of the fabulous sea views. The whole of the downstairs has been re-decorated.   

More recently we have upgraded the central heating to ensure warmth through the colder winter months.

In the bar we have introduced local beers from our local brewers Fyne Ales of Cairndow and now have over 30 Scottish Gins and a selection of Scottish rums along with a malt whisky offering. 

Our work will continue in the coming months and years with further upgrades and improvements planned. We hope that if you stay with us again you’ll be able to share the changes with us.
